Antes de mais nada tive uma ótima notícia: Danielle de Brujin marcou dois gols na semifinal da Olimpíada de Sidney, como consta em trecho da agência reuters: "But then the Netherlands, a factor in almost every major tournament it enters, rallied as Danielle de Bruijn and Mirjan Op den Velde scored two goals each. When Op den Velde slammed in her second two minutes before the half, the orange-clad Dutch fans erupted in celebration over the 5-3 lead.
Ryde, Australia -- Montreal's Johane Begin and Marie-Claude Deslieres each scored in the final quarter as Canada rallied to tie Russia 7-7 in women's water polo action Saturday at the Sydney Olympics. Russia looked on the way to victory on Natalia Koutouzova's sweeping, one-handed score with 5:02 remaining Saturday. But Cora Campbell of Calgary lobbed a long cross-pool pass to Begin about 30 seconds later to cut the lead to one. Deslieres' goal, a power shot from beyond the seven-metre area, tied it with 2:21 to go. Both teams had chances to win after that.
Irina Tolkounova and Ioulia Petrova each missed easy-looking shots from just right of the goal. Jana Salat's steal led to a breakaway for Begin with 1:10 left, but she could not finish.
Ann Dow of Montreal had three goals to lead Canada. Petrova and Sofia Konoukh led Russia with two goals apiece. Russia faces Australia, a 9-2 winner earlier over Kazakstan, on Sunday. Canada will then meet the U.S.
A conclusão preliminar nos gols:
Gols Canadá: Ann Dow (3), Marie Claude Deslioeres (2) , Cora Campbell (1) e Johane Begin (1),

Os gols holandeses que se observa no texto são de "Karin Kuipers had two early goals and Ellen Leijendekker scored in the third quarter as the Netherlands, the FINA World Cup champs, led 3-1.

Ioulia Petrova followed a minute later with the game-winner that she slammed past Dutch keeper Karla Plugge.
Petrova then fouled up a play down low to Dutch forward Marjan op den Velde with 46 seconds remaining. But it looked early that nerves and the Dutch defense would get the best of the Russians. Karin Kuipers had two early goals and Ellen Leijendekker scored in the third quarter as the Netherlands, the FINA World Cup champs, led 3-1.
Russia, which scored 15 goals in a victory over Kazakstan this week, had trouble mounting an offense. Konoukh scored Russia's first goal with 37.8 seconds left before halftime. The Russians got within a goal on Svetlana Kouzina's long score. They finally broke through in the final quarter against Plugge to win the first medal given out for women in the sport after 100 years as a men's only event. The team dunked coach Serguei Frolov in the Sydney International Aquatic Center pool and hugged each other after. The Russians finished 3-3-1 in the tournament, while the Dutch were 3-4-0.
